WASHINGTON
– Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) will hold a town meeting in Grundy Center on
Monday, August 16 as part of his annual 99 county meetings.
“Representative
government is a two-way street. I’m only one half of the equation and my
constituents are the other half,” Grassley said. “I appreciate the
opportunity to hold town meetings, answer questions and take comments from
Iowans.”
This
is Grassley’s 41st year of holding meetings in every one of Iowa’s 99 counties.
Grassley has held at least one meeting in every county, every year since he was
first elected to serve in the U.S. Senate. He takes and answers questions on
any subject raised. Iowans set the agenda.
Grassley
will be available for 15 minutes after the meeting to answer questions from
local reporters. These town meetings are open to the public and media. Details
for the upcoming meeting follow.
