Senator Grassely will participate in a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on "Effective Strategies for Preventing Health Care Fraud." Grassley is the author of the 1986 amendments to the False Claims Act, a law sough by President Abraham Lincoln during the Civil War in response to war profiteering that defrauded U.S. taxpayers. The Grassley-authored updates to the law are today the government's most effective weapon against fraud, including health care fraud.
Senator Grassley will participate in a Senate Judiciary Committee Executive Business Meeting.
